Day 1
Charter flight from Lilongwe to Mvuu Wilderness
Lodge situated within the 580 km square Liwonde National
Park. This is Malawi’s prime wildlife area. Experience a
night game drive out in the bush. Overnight at Mvuu

Day 2
At Mvuu. Take a boat trip down the Shire river to view
the herds of elephant and see the magnificent bird life.
Look for huge crocodiles, plenty of hippo, sable
antelope, impala, reedbuck and more. Cool off in the
swimming pool at the lodge. Overnight at Mvuu lodge.
Day 3
Road transfer from Mvuu to Club Makakola. The yacht
Mufasa will be moored outside the hotel awaiting your
arrival. Go on board the yacht and set sail via Chirombo
Bay. Stop off for a refreshing swim or snorkel at Mzinzi
Bay, crystal clear waters and an abundance of bright

Day 4
Sail to Monkey Bay. Stop in to view the vessels in the
harbour. Head through the Ilala gap to Cape Maclear.
Arrive mid morning at Danforth Yachting luxury lodge in
Cape Maclear. Watersports, sailing and activities all
available. Overnight at Danforth Yachting lodge.
Day 5
Transfer to Kayak Africa's camp on Mumbo island. Kayak,
snorkel, swim, relax. Beautiful surroundings,
comfortable accommodation in large, furnished safari
tents on thatched wooden decks overlooking the lake.

Day 6
Another day to explore Mumbo island.
Day 7
The yacht Mufasa will collect you from Mumbo Island to
start the journey sailing north. Sail to Chiofu Bay on
the eastern shores of Lake Malawi . Enjoy a beach
barbecue under the African stars. Overnight on Mufasa at
anchor in the bay.
Day 8
Early morning walk at Chiofu Bay, passing by a small,
traditional village. Lovely views out over the lake.
After breakfast, set sail north on Mufasa. Arrive at the
area known as Palmaneros. Lush palm trees line this
interesting bay on the Mozambique coast of Lake Malawi.
Anchor down for the night on board Mufasa.
Day 9
Sail to Likoma Island. Arrive at Kaya Mawa. Fairy tale
stone cottages in a romantic setting make this an island
paradise. Overnight at Kaya Mawa lodge. (Click here for

Day 10
Explore Likoma Island. Visit the cathedral and take a
walk through the cobbled market square. Swim, snorkel,
walk, rest and relax. Overnight at Kaya Mawa Lodge.
Day 11
Charter flight from Likoma Island to Nyika Plateau.
Arrive at Chelinda Lodge. Horse riding, mountain biking,
game drives, walks, trout fishing. Luxurious en-suite
log cabins.
Day 12
Another day at Nyika Plateau to enjoy the rolling planes
and crisp mountain air. Overnight at Chelinda Lodge.
Day 13
After breakfast, take a charter flight from Nyika to
Lilongwe for onward travel plans.
