8 nights sailing the warm, clear waters of Lake Malawi •  OTHER PACKAGES

Day 1: Danforth Lodge
Arrive Lilongwe. Road transfer to Senga Bay (1 ¼ hours on good roads) Yacht will be moored ready for guests arrival. Go on board and sail across to Cape Maclear (3 hours). Arrive Danforth yachting Lodge. Check into your spacious, well appointed rooms overlooking the lake. Full board basis.

Day 2 - Day 3: Danforth Lodge
At Danforth Yachting, Cape Maclear. Magnificent setting and opportunity to be as active or as relaxed as you choose.
A variety of watersports and activities are all available on site. Willing instructors and helpful staff will assist you if you’d like to learn how to water ski, tube ride or wakeboard. Take a boat ride out to the islands for incredible snorkeling or scuba diving to view the colourful tropical fish. If the winds are up, enjoy exhilarating hobie-cat sailing in the bay. Listen to the cry of the fish eagle whilst you enjoy top cuisine and watch wonderful sunsets from the beachside thatched gazebo at Danforth Lodge. The days are spent pursuing your choice of activity. Overnight Danforth Lodge at Cape Maclear on full board basis including activities.

Day 4: Yacht Charter
After breakfast, load the yacht “Mufasa” ready for 3 nights on board. Sail north from Cape Maclear to Chiofu Bay, a lovely secluded bay 5 hours sail away. Good snorkeling, diving and fishing. Go on shore and enjoy a beach barbeque under the African stars. Overnight on Mufasa at anchor in the bay.

Day 5: Yacht Charter
Mid morning, set sail north and head on to your destination of Likoma Island. Lunch and dinner whilst sailing. Arrive after dark and anchor down in the shelter of Ilala bay. Overnight on the yacht.

Day 6: Yacht Charter
Explore Likoma Island. Visit the magnificent St.Paul’s cathedral, take a walk through the cobbled market square, enjoy the sights and sounds of this African island. Swim, scuba dive, snorkel, sail around the island. Overnight on the yacht.

**  Optional extra. Spend night at Kaya Mawa lodge on Likoma Island. Add extra US$ 295.00, (STO US@ 220.00) pp/pn

Day 7: Yacht Charter
Sail to the neighbouring Chisimulu Island. Anchor down in a scenic cove. Take a walk all the way around this quaint island. Enjoy a drink at the backpackers bar. Overnight on board Mufasa.

Day 8: Makuzi Beach
From Chisimulu Island, sail back to the mainland of Malawi. Arrive at Makuzi Beach Lodge at Bandawe point, near the Chinteche area. Bid the yacht farewell. Overnight at Makuzi Beach lodge.

Day 9: Lilongwe
Road transfer from Makuzi to Lilongwe. Overnight at Kumbali Country Lodge, a beautiful lodge situated on a dairy farm on the outskirts of Lilongwe.

Day 10: Lilongwe Out
Road transfer to Lilongwe International airport.
