Fresh water scuba diving in Lake Malawi
Our on-site PADI resort scuba diving centre is fully equipped and ready for
divers! Just head to our thatched dive-deck on the beach and meet the
resident dive instructor. Courses and casual diving are offered to
guests resident at Danforth Lodgeve. There are over 20 different dive sites
in and around Cape Maclear.

Lake Malawi is ideal for the diving enthusiast; clear,
fresh, warm water, no tides or currents and over 600
different species of brightly coloured tropical fish
known as Cichlids.
See mouth brooders sucking in and releasing their young,
witness the "play dead fish" attack his prey, watch out
for the "around the corner fish" and the "upside down
fish". Fascinating breeding, nesting and fish behaviour
patterns pointed out to you by our knowledgeable dive
professionals will increase your awareness of this
unique and special underwater environment.
